Mask use arrived here in March of this year and will continue to be a mandatory accessory. As a result, the eye area gains prominence and is already a reason for seeking aesthetic treatments that enhance the gaze.
Procedures and surgeries that favor the upper third of the face, such as the eyes and forehead, are a trend we are noticing during this time of Covid-19.
Below, I detail the main surgeries for the eye area:
Botulinum Toxin – Through application, the procedure reduces and prevents the appearance of expression wrinkles in the facial muscles, mainly in the eye regions (crow's feet), forehead, or between the eyebrows. The effect can be noticed from the 2nd or 3rd day after application, and it is recommended to repeat it at intervals of four to six months.
Blepharoplasty – This is plastic surgery of the eyelids. It can be performed by excising excess skin, removing, repositioning, and even fat grafting. It may be associated with the correction of a deformity, among them palpebral ptosis.
Forehead Lift - Also known as a brow lift, the forehead lift aims to reduce wrinkles and reposition tissues, especially the eyebrow, for facial harmonization. This procedure is indicated for those who are bothered by expression lines or other signs of aging in the upper face. This treatment can also include botulinum toxin, fillers, and lifting threads.
