????It is a variation of mastectomy (surgery to remove the breast) in which the skin, areola, and nipple are preserved, removing only the gland.

The procedure is indicated for selected cases, with pre-infiltrative tumors, or for small multicentric tumors, whenever the lesions are at least 2 cm from the areola.

After that, the surgery is followed by reconstruction, usually with the placement of a prosthesis of silicone.
