Myth!

The baby will not have any contact with the implant, as it is located below the mammary gland. Therefore, mothers who have had a breast augmentation can rest assured!

Often, due to fear or apprehension of rupturing the implant, some patients choose to interrupt breastfeeding, preferring to offer formula to their babies. Before making any decision, it is important to talk to the plastic surgeon to understand the real risks. The act of breastfeeding will not rupture the implant. 😉

The greatest risk of rupture is through a strong impact, such as in a car accident, for example, but it is rare. If this occurs, the implant can be replaced with another in a new surgery, without major problems.
