????Let's talk about the breast expander?
⠀After mastectomy (breast removal), one of the breast reconstruction options is using a breast expander, which can be placed during the mastectomy. After surgery, it is slowly filled with saline solution in the office or outpatient clinic.

The goal is to prepare and stretch the tissues for replacement with a silicone implant. This is a simple, safe technique with excellent results, but it requires many follow-up visits to the office. Expander filling begins after the breast healing, around 3 weeks, with intervals of one to two weeks. The expanded volume is determined by the expander's capacity, tissue quality, and patient tolerance.

Five or more sessions may be necessary for satisfactory expansion.

Generally, each session lasts about 45 minutes. The result of breast reconstruction brings many benefits to the patient, significantly improving their self-esteem, self-confidence, and quality of life.????
