Did you know that Bill 9657/18, recently approved by the Social Security and Family Commission of the Chamber of Deputies, expanded existing laws for cases of reconstructive plastic surgery for all mutilations?

The performance of reconstructive plastic surgery, with or without the use of an implanted medical device (for example, with breast implants), is guaranteed by the Unified Health System (SUS) and by health insurance plans.

In cases of cancer, it is also the patient's right to undergo plastic surgery on the healthy breast, to make it more similar to the reconstructed breast.
