The performance of reconstructive plastic surgery, with or without the use of an implanted medical device (for example, with a breast implant of silicone), is guaranteed by the Unified Health System (SUS) and by health plans.

In cases of cancer, it is also important to remember that it is the patient's right to have plastic surgery on the healthy breast, to make it more similar to the reconstructed breast.
