After breastfeeding for months, it is common for breasts to become flaccid and have stretch marks. In some cases, they may also appear to be different sizes, with one visibly smaller than the other. For this reason, many mothers opt for aesthetic reconstructive surgery after milk production ends.

The most common plastic surgeries performed to boost women's self-esteem in the post-breastfeeding period are:

1. Augmentation Mammoplasty – a technique to increase breast size with a silicone implant;

2. Reduction Mammoplasty – indicated to decrease breast volume and size;

3. Mastopexy – a plastic surgery that lifts the breasts. The procedure may or may not be associated with the placement of silicone implants.

➡ Important: the patient should not make the decision alone. Medical supervision, from the first consultation, is essential for selecting the most appropriate technique to meet each woman's expectations. 😉
