Can fat removed in a liposuction surgery in patients with lipedema be used as a graft in other areas of the body? 🤔 This can be a common question among women undergoing the surgical procedure. ⠀ My answer is: ❌ it is not recommended to use "diseased fat" as a graft. Since lipedema is a chronic disorder of adipose tissue, the removed material should not be grafted elsewhere. ⠀ In other words: considering that this fat is diseased and has characteristics that can be transferred to the graft site, it is not a recommended procedure because the result may be uncertain and undesirable. ⠀ In plastic surgery, safety is paramount. 😉 ⠀ ⠀ #cirurgiaplastica #cirurgiãoplastico #saude #lipedema #xôlipedema #enxerto #autoestima #bemestar
